CENTURY collection

Century is a new collection of modular rugs, designed by Cristián Mohaded for El Espartano, that re-signifies the prominence of the rug as a functional covering in corporate architecture, adding the distinctive seal of Argentine design. A single figure that moves and overlaps, building an infinite space, a labyrinth without borders.

The collection takes up an Art Deco language one hundred years after the beginnings of this movement, with a dynamic, free and contemporary reinterpretation, to compose a dialogue between architecture and textiles. The movement of the figures seeks a spontaneous generation of modulation, inspired by the use of lines in graphics and stained glass windows from the 1920s, playing with superposition and blurring the origin.
